Entries are divided into sections by state then arranged chronologically by date of execution. Each entry includes a biographical sketch of the condemned, and details of the crime, trial and execution of sentence.

R. Michael Wilson has been researching and writing about the history of the American West for more than a decade. A retired law enforcement officer, he is the author of numerous books on crime and capital punishment. He lives in Henderson, Nevada.
