Studies in Comics and Religion

Studies in Comics and Religion is a peer-reviewed book series of interest to academics and non-academics. Twenty-first century entertainment, media, and scholarship are reaping the rewards sown by the comic book medium across the prior century. There has never been a greater time to be a fan of comic books and graphic novels. Comics often draw upon religious imagery in their stories, and comic fandom has become the functional religion for many. This series will explore the religious ideas and representations present within the comic book medium and its fandom.
