Major League Baseball Players of 1884

This work presents biographical and career sketches of each of the 637 participants in the 1884 Major League Baseball season. It also includes more than 100 photographs and 110 charts of the players’ performances on National Association, National League, American Association, Union Association, Players League and American League clubs, and one age chart and one mortality chart.

Paul Batesel is emeritus professor of English at Mayville State University in Mayville, North Dakota. He does national and international presentations on teaching innovations in higher education.
