Book Reviews & Awards

• “Absolutely everyone needs to understand the outline of the greatest problem our species has ever faced–the environmental challenge represented most powerfully by the rapid rise in global temperature. This volume is a handy resource, detailed enough to be useful but not too technical for any of us to read!”—Bill McKibben, author The End of Nature

• “Earth Wise offers an authoritative, eminently readable introduction to a sweeping array of environmental issues. It is a valuable addition to the bookshelves of interested citizens and environmental professional alike.”—Denis Hayes, chair & CEO, Bullitt Foundation, Seattle, Washington
