About the Author(s)

Denny Dressman retired after a 42-year career at major daily newspapers in several cities, the last 25 at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver. He currently writes an award-winning weekly sports column for The Villager newspaper in suburban Denver and has authored 16 books. Anthony High is an internationally recognized artist whose distinctive work has been inspired for more than 20 years by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the American Jazz Museum. He has been part of the NLBM traveling show “Shades of Greatness” for more than two decades. He lives in Kansas City, Missouri.
